Travertine
Our speciality, from laying to care.
Travertine is a limestone born from spring water. Its pores give it charm, and its sensitivity calls for method. We lay it on floors, walls, in showers, on terraces and around pools, filled or unfilled, honed, tumbled or brushed.
What we master
- Laying: a checked substrate, white adhesive suited to pale stone to avoid staining, back-buttering, joints matched to the stone, a layout that balances the shades
- Protection: a water repellent and an oil repellent, applied to clean dry stone, tested first on an offcut
- Care: a pH neutral cleaner, wine, coffee and citrus wiped quickly, never vinegar or limescale remover, protection renewed according to use. We leave you a written guide for your travertine

Filled or unfilled?
Filled for a smooth surface and easy care, unfilled for character, rather outdoors.
Does travertine cope with mountain winters?
You need a frost-resistant grade. We check the technical sheet with the supplier before ordering.
Can it go in a shower?
Yes, with a waterproofing membrane, a honed finish and a squeegee after each shower.
